Weddings have always been in Gretchen’s DNA. Raised in her father’s bustling wedding chapel, she learned early what it takes to create a beautiful, meaningful space for couples to say “I do.” Inspired by her family’s deep roots in love and architecture—including her uncle’s connection to a Frank Lloyd Wright-designed church—Gretchen’s passion for weddings grew into a lifelong calling.
One of her favorite memories? A farm ceremony where a cow carried the rings—proof that the most unforgettable moments are often the most unexpected. That same spirit of charm and uniqueness lives in every detail of Mapleville Manor.
With a background in construction and a creative eye for design, Gretchen brought her dream venue to life—combining craftsmanship, character, and a touch of magic. She’s also a global treasure hunter of sorts, carefully curating everything from grand chandeliers to antique glass doors to make the space feel truly one-of-a-kind.
Gretchen isn’t building this dream alone. Alongside her husband Bob—her partner in love and in life—they’ve turned every challenge into opportunity, even becoming the first couple to marry at the manor they built together.
When she’s not designing magical spaces, Gretchen gives back through a nonprofit she runs to support youth in the International Children’s Games. Mapleville Manor even doubles as a gathering space for young athletes and families, blending inspiration with community.
