Growing up amidst the hustle and bustle of her father’s wedding chapel, Gretchen learned firsthand the dedication and hard work it takes to craft the perfect setting for couples to say “I do.” Inspired by her father’s passion and the architectural masterpiece designed by renowned architect Frank Lloyd Wright, where her uncle served as lead minister, Gretchen’s love for weddings blossomed into a lifelong commitment to creating magical moments.
One of Gretchen’s fondest memories includes a charming ceremony on a farm, where a cow played the role of ring bearer—a testament to the whimsical and unforgettable moments she strives to create for her couples. Combining her background as a contractor with her love for weddings, Gretchen embarked on a mission to build a venue that embodies uniqueness and charm.
But Gretchen’s creativity continues beyond venue design. With a penchant for treasure hunting, she scours the globe for unique and special items that add a touch of magic to her space. Each piece, from towering chandeliers to majestic glass doors, reflects Gretchen’s commitment to creating an unforgettable experience for her couples.
Behind every successful venture is a supportive partner; for Gretchen, that partner is her husband, Bob. Together, they have tackled every obstacle and challenge with unwavering determination, turning their shared dream of The Vineyards of Mapleville Manor into a reality.
Beyond weddings, in her little spare time, Gretchen runs a 501c3 Public Charity dedicated to empowering youth through the International Children’s Games. With Mapleville Manor serving as a meeting place for young minds and their parents, Gretchen hopes to inspire the next generation to dream big and reach for the stars.
As Gretchen looks towards the future, her aspirations burn bright. Just as she added special touches and used the highest quality materials in her home renovations, she has poured her heart and soul into every detail of this unique venue. Gretchen and Bob were the first to exchange vows in this sanctuary of love—a testament to their enduring bond and shared commitment to creating a space where love knows no bounds.
